Mr. Manu Prem Nair

Chief Executive Officer

Manu is an engineer turned management professional. Prior to joining ABIF, he was the Individual Contractor for UNDP in Uttarakhand under the Green Recovery Pathways initiative. Under his leadership, potential small agencies in the state were groomed to work towards disaster resilience, conduct Natural Resource Management trainings to rural women and convert entrepreneurial ventures into renewable power. Manu has served as a Chief Ministers Fellow to the Government of Arunachal Pradesh where he helped develop State Skill Development Schemes, organized the first Arunachal Pradesh Social Entrepreneurs Meet (APSEM), trained homestay owners and increased visibility of homestays in the market, facilitated bamboo entrepreneurs with fund support etc. His work for the Punjab Skill Development Mission (PSDM) in Chandigarh comprised of conducting Project Execution Readiness (PER) Assessment of Project Implementing Agencies (PIA), Due Diligence and Inspections of training centres, handling default procedures of PIAs, facilitating financial audits etc under the Deen Dayal Uphadhyay Grameen Kaushal Yojana (DDU-GKY). He was also the Project Manager for Coconut Development Board (CDB), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare where he facilitated the formation of FPOs in Kerala and helped them set up Neera processing plants. He received his bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering from the Government Engineering College Thrissur, Kerala and his PGDM degree in Rural Development Management from National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (NIRDPR), MoRD in Hyderabad.

Litan Barman, an IIT Kharagpur alumnus with 5+ years of experience, excels as a dedicated Finance Manager at ABIF IIT Kharagpur. His financial acumen, strategic planning, and leadership skills drive effective budgeting and resource allocation. Beyond work, he actively engages in social initiatives, exemplifying his commitment to both professional excellence and community impact.

Ms. Isha Bhakat

Office Assistant

Isha Bhakat is a diligent Office Assistant at ABIF IIT Kharagpur. She holds a B.Com degree in Accountancy Honours, graduating in 2017. With prior experience as a Project Assistant in Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Project at IIT Kharagpur and as an Associate at Wipro Technology, Kolkata, she brings valuable expertise to her current role.
